About me

The doctoral studies at the Department of East Asian Studies at Comenius University in Bratislava have provided me with a suitable environment for the acquisition and development of my scientific skills. The successful completion of three individual research projects supported by the Research Grant for Young Scholars awarded by Comenius University allowed me to gather valuable experience in linguistic research and I also undertook various short- and long-term research stays to continuously work on enriching my research-related skills in the field of teaching and learning Chinese as a second language and reinforcement of my expertise in corpus linguistics, interlanguage research, and error analysis.

Apart from the China Studies Program Joint Research Ph.D. Fellowship (East China Normal University, Shanghai, 2019-2020 and 2021-2022), I have been awarded an International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (East China Normal University, Shanghai, 2021) and participated in the China Studies Program Advanced Chinese Translator Training (July 2021) aimed at the development of the translation skills in the language combination Chinese – Italian as well as took part in the Official Chinese Program (East China Normal University, Shanghai, 2022) to pursue further improvement of my language skills.

I earned the master degree at the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Vienna and Comenius University in Bratislava and since then I have been focused on the improvement of my interpreting and translating skills from/to Chinese. During my bachelor’s and master’s degree studies, I had an opportunity to complete a one-semester study stay at Xiamen University (2016), one-year study stay at Shanghai Jiaotong University (2011/2012), and one semester at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany (2010).

In addition, I took part in summer language school programs at the University of Milan in 2014 and at the University of Salzburg in 2012.
